WiiUnlocker Review
When I bought WiiUnlocker, I quickly discovered just how well it worked on my gaming console. While I have to admit that there are probably better software products out there that can do the same thing, this is a good choice for the price that I paid. For only $24.99 it was definitely a good deal. It was able to install rather quickly when I put it in the Wii and after it was done I was able to start playing MP3 music files as well as DVDs. When it comes to these types of products that claim to unlock your Wii, this one is definitely a good choice for those who do not want to spend a ton of money on a product that might not even work in the first place.
The fact that it had easy-to-follow instructions was certainly a plus and that is one of the things I liked about it; I didn’t have to spend a lot of time figuring out how to install the software because it was fairly self-explanatory. It comes with a guide that gives you step-by-step directions so those who are not familiar with installing this type of software will not have any problems whatsoever. The guide that WiiUnlocker comes with also gives you detailed instructions on downloading and installing certain applications.
One of the applications that you are able to install on your Wii is an emulator which I have used to download games from multiple platforms, including the N64 and the GameCube; these classic games play nicely on my Wii ever since I installed this software. The unlocker itself is a good product because it installs quickly without a lot of nonsense and you are able to get your applications and games running in no time.
I would say that as a whole it is an average product with medium capabilities. The fact that I didn’t have to use any modification hardware to access these applications and play DVDs was definitely a good thing; because that was something I did not want to do because I know how dangerous it can be for the actual system. WiiUnlocker was able to install the software on the gaming console without causing any damage whatsoever, so I did not have to worry about breaking the warranty and having to pay an outrageous amount of money in repairs.
Although this software is about average, it does work with the 4.2 System Update which is a good thing that makes it a convenient choice for those need a modification solution for the Wii. Another good thing about this software is that putting it on the console does not void the warranty, so you will still be able to get the repairs or a replacement if you need one in the future. WiiUnlocker makes it possible to play games from all regions, which is a great feature that I appreciate on a regular basis by playing titles from Europe and various other places around the world.
